The regional network AguaJaring and the Indonesian network CK-Net, together with IHE Indonesia will implement a regional training course on managhement and development of capacity building networks. The course will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 25 - 29 August 2008.
The Nile capacity building network will hold a meeting for country coordinators to prepare the work plan for 2008-2009.
The country coordinators have been carrying out an assessment of the needs and opportunities for capacity development in each country of the Nile basin and these reports will be used as a basis for the development of the work plan.
The meeting is being held in Nairobi, Kenya at Jomo Kenyatta University from 26-28th August. Contact person is Dr Muna Mirghani (munamirghani@yahoo.de).

Cambodia National Training Workshop: IWRM Awareness and Planning
To implement the relevant law and regulations on water-related resource management in the Kingdom of Cambodia, capacity of government staff is required to understand the IWRM concepts, while the Law on Water Management in Cambodia (2007) encourages the application of Integrated Water Resources Management as the holistic approach for sustainable management and development of water and related resources in the country.

Cap-Net and UN-HABITAT are collaborating to address the issue of effectictive and efficient water resources management within water supply and sanitation utilities. The expected programme will build on the developing Water Operators Partnership managed by UN-HABITAT and the capacity building experience of Cap-Net and its partner networks.
