The Annual SAWA (South Asia Water) Fellows Training Workshop is going to be held in Sri Lanka, from September 1-13, 2009. The training is held every year for SAWA Fellows from all the Crossing Boundaries Partner Institutions in South Asia. The training is organised to fulfil the following broad objectives; (a) understanding social structure, social relations, and (b) placing issues of water and equity, and experimental learning of these with training on PRA tools. The training methodology is based on experiential adult learning principles and participatory in its approach. A substantial part of the training will be devoted in practicing the tools and methods with community members in real life situation. This field exercise is a major component of the training for which student will stay for four days and three nights in villages with farming families.
