(Arab Integrated Water Resources Management Network)

Member countries:

Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Lybia, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi-Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

Objectives:

The long term objective is to improve the implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management concepts in the countries of the ESCWA region. The project purpose is to improve awareness of professionals working in the target institutions.

Outputs:

In order to increase the awareness a number of sets of activities need to be carried out. These are:

  1. Creation of the knowledge network
  2. Improve knowledge exchange
  3. Establish objective research programmes
  4. Improve the quality of the output generated by the network
