Sri Lanka capacity building network for IWRM

Cap-Net Lanka is a country network of the Global Cap-Net, which is the International Network for Capacity Development in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). Cap-Net is a partnership of autonomous international, regional and national institutions and networks committed to capacity development in the water sector. The Cap-Net Lanka is hosted by the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka intending broadly to extend the IWRM training activities to a wider sectionn of the community through various activities to enhance coordination among capacity building in water, facilitate efforts of network members to strengthen their capacities in developing services and stimulate interaction among water professionals.

Objectives:

  1. Increase access to education, training and research in IWRM
  2. Enhance co-ordination among capacity building institutions
  3. Facilitate efforts of network members to strengthen their capabilities in delivering capacity building services
  4. Stimulate interaction among water professionals
