From 30 August to 3 September, the Panjwani-Hisaar Water Institute (PHWI) successfully completed its first course on ‘WATER LAW’ launching in this way the institute’s academic programme. The course was spread over 5 days and it was supported by Cap-Net Pakistan. Among the 40 participants were lawyers, water practitioners, researchers, journalists and policy makers. The course objective was to understand the existing legal environment around water (international, national, provincial and local) and its implications for water governance, management and conservation in Pakistan.

Hisaar Foundation, host of Cap-Net Pakistan, continued on its mission of disseminating the “Recommendations for Pakistan’s National Water Policy Framework” which is now being recognized and touted as the “Citizen’s Water Policy.”
Continuing on its mission of disseminating the “Recommendations for Pakistan’s National Water Policy Framework” for the consideration of the government in each of the provinces, Hisaar Foundation – a foundation, for water, food and livelihood security- and secretariat host, Cap-Net Pakistan held a launch event in Islamabad, the federal capital of Pakistan on Friday 27th January 2017 at Islamabad Serena Hotel.
